Your new role
In your new maintenance technician role, you will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical trouble shooting of machines and equipment including electro-mechanical repairs. You will closely monitor machine and line performance to ensure they are working to optimum capacity and intervene as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs.
You will use and create preventative and predictive maintenance routines and provide technical support to the production floor to help achieve the company’s targets.
In this new role you will also work with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications, trouble shoot PLCs and ensure KPIs are met and co-operate and participate in all training and development relating to cross skilling and other job-related competencies.
KPIs for this role include minimal breakdown recovery time, optimise Overall Equipment Effectiveness and completion rate of Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have an electrical and/or mechanical background with an aptitude for diagnostic and troubleshooting as well as process awareness, be observant and able to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player with a multi-skilled ethos.
A Trade Qualification with the Main Skill in Electrical or Mechanical is essential for this role.
Candidates must be flexible to work shifts, 5/7 days including weekends.
Shift times are 6am -2.30pm and 2.30pm- 10.30pm rotating on a weekly basis.
