Your new role


You will be joining our client as Maintenance Electrician primarily working the Night Shift. The focus for this role is to generate maximum asset up-time via planned and preventative maintenance. Key accountabilities include the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and pneumatic equipment on various asset types across the site, Minimising equipment downtime through effective root cause analysis and close off procedures, applying excellent critical thinking skills to swiftly fault-find and rectify problems and working independently with OEMs and external contractors on maintenance, repairs, and installations. The successful candidate will promote and lead a proactive and positive safety culture, always adhering to safe working practice, Use CMMS to generate and record all planned, reactive and project work, Liaise with OEMs and other vendors when diagnosing faults, ordering, or sourcing replacement parts, Provide support and participate in all continuous improvement projects and trials and ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements. Effective and timely communication with Engineering, Production and Quality personnel is a key aspect to this role.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed you will have a proven record as an Electrician. For a dynamic, self-driven person who is enthusiastic and willing to learn in a forward-thinking atmosphere, this is an amazing opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of practical first-hand experience in a relevant industrial setting. Strong technical capability with the ability to read, understand and work from technical drawings is a must. Strong fault finding / critical thinking skills are essential. You will need show the proven ability to work well as part of a team & on own with minimum supervision. A candidate with a positive attitude to changing circumstances and work priorities that is self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative is required. Experience in the Print & Packaging sector is preferable. To succeed you will need excellent interpersonal and personal conduct. With competency using SAP PM and Microsoft Office being a distinct advantage. Top performers should be organised, initiative-taking and hard working.
