Maintenance team lead required for a leading crop protection specialist in north Dublin.

Your new role
A Maintenance Team Lead to lead their Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team, develop and gain experience within a company were every staff member has a vital role to play in achieving our objectives and making the company a success. Through a continuous improvement approach, their maintenance team are responsible for preventing unexpected machine breakdowns, maximising the availability and reliability of all operating systems, ensuring packing lines runs smoothly and at optimal performance.
Your day to day duties will consist of :
Co-ordinating the day to day tasks of the maintenance team
• Perform scheduled meetings & reviews with maintenance team members
• Co-ordinate production related issues assigned on the database & promote a timely close out
• Point of contact for contractors/external engineers for the packing halls
• Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
• Ensure maintenance representation at manufacturing & packing huddle meetings
• Participate in plant OEE meetings, working with production team to continuously reduce/eliminate downtime.
• Give technical guidance & Provide training / awareness sessions to maintenance technicians as required
• Management of Maintenance visual management board
• Involved in training of production staff of routine maintenance procedures • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults

What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing & packing environment is preferable.
Essential Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering.
A diploma with good work experience will also be considered.
Essential Criteria:
• Experience in leading a team
• People-management skills.
• Knowledge of a manufacturing industry an advantage
• Excellent Communication skills
• Effective decision-making ability
• Knowledge and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel etc
• Good time management and strong on attention to detail
• The ability to lead and motivate others
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills

What you'll get in return
A salary of €55,000 to €65,000.
Regular Monday to Friday working hours.
Benefits include pension scheme, dental healthcare, health care schemes, paid sick leave, annual monetary bonuses plus ad hoc bonuses. onsite parking. Extended annual leave after 2 years of services accumulating to 25 days maximum.
