CAD, Modular Builds, REVIT
Here in Hays Recruitment, we are currently recruiting for an M&E CAD/REVIT technician to join the team. This is an exciting, full time, permanent opportunity.
Your new company
This organisation are world leaders in the manufacture of Off-Site Volumetric Turn-Key Residential & Commercial units for the construction industry. They manufacture volumetric 3D structural modules for the Construction Industry to be used in sectors such as Hotels, Residential Apartment Buildings and Student Accommodation.
The successful candidate will join a diverse design team consisting of MEP, Structural ,and Architectural Design Technicians and Engineers. The role will initially involve the creation of manufacturing drawings for their production facilities in the UK but the candidates will also be required to collaborate with external consultants, manufacturing teams and site fit-out team to coordinate designs.
The design team is currently transitioning to using BIM Technology’s with the MEP team utilising Revit MEP to coordinate the design process. Any candidates with Revit experience will have a distinct advantage for this role.

Your new role
- Production of manufacturing drawings for the relevant trades in the production facility.
- Project Planning and Management.
- Co-ordination of work with all members of design teams (architect, engineers of all disciplines, QS, etc.).
- Designing and reviewing design work of fellow MEP team members.
- Ensuring that all designs, schedules and documents are prepared to the highest standards and are available to the production facility when they are required.
- Assist in the transition to producing BIM models and drawing using Autodesk Revit.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
- The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years + post graduate experience in the design/drafting of building services.
- Must be IT literate in AutoCAD, REVIT and Microsoft Office packages.
- Must have experience working in an engineering/construction company.
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines and to a high standard.
- Experience in a range of medium to large-scale projects.
- Organised, high attention to detail and adaptable with a flexible working approach.
- A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
