HR Support (L&D/HR Ops) | Cork | Contract | 6 Months

Your new company

Your new employer is a leading Irish semi-state service provider. They are committed to growth, innovation and sustainability continues to be top of their agenda. They are seeking HR support across their L&D team and HR Ops team. Initially, you would be supporting the L&D team before moving to HR Ops to provide additional admin support.

Your new role

As the Technical Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering evaluation, coordination, scheduling, and recording processes in the technical training cycle. You will assist in the storage of L&D materials and track and maintain training records, attendance, and completion data.

You will liaise with external training providers to coordinate outsourced training sessions and provide updates and gather requirements to ensure alignment of training initiatives with organisational goals. Your role will involve scheduling and coordinating the logistical arrangements of training sessions, managing catering and transport, and identifying and requesting IT/PPE requirements for courses. You will also be responsible for uploading training dates and communicating training schedules and registration details to participants.

Moving to HR Operations, you will be responsible for providing business support across a wide range of activities including learning and development, pensions, payroll, schemes, recruitment, and communications.

You will be responsible for activities within the team including onboarding of transferees. Main duties include onboarding new joiners on HR systems, capturing data requirements, managing employee transfer onboarding documentation and process, communicating pay arrangements, managing employee-related reports, and responding to ServiceNow queries.

The role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of strategic requirements for the organisation through the period of transition.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a minimum of 2–3 years experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate should be proactive, able to work independently and in a team, possess excellent time management skills, and have the ability to establish good working relationships. Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to collect and review information are also essential. The candidate should be adaptable to changing work requirements and committed to ongoing learning and maintaining high work standards. You will have the ability to manage high volume requests and the ability to multitask.
