HR Business Partner | Public Sector | Dublin | Hybrid

Your new company is a leading National Public Sector Regulatory Body. A hybrid working pattern of 1-2 days in the office each week is in place.

Your new role
As the HR Business Partner you will be a proactive and strategic business partner in assigned business units, providing direction and leadership to business managers in a manner which is value adding, impactful and collaborative. As the HRBP will provide challenge, insight and support in equal measure to help strategically shape the organisation to deliver the best possible people and performance outcomes. Some of your key duties will be:

  • Partner with assigned business units to facilitate the achievement of business objectives and the people agenda and strategy
  • Collaborate and influence across a variety of stakeholders resulting in strong, positive outcomes
  • Provide pragmatic and consistent guidance, advising and challenging staff members and management on a broad range of human resources issues ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation of HR Policies, legislation, current thinking and guidelines
  • Contribute to and lead as appropriate on key HR projects
  • Utilise the HRIS system and reporting tools to understand and gain insight, diagnose trends and provide management with key information to inform planning and decision making
  • Advise management on employee relations and employee legislation in line with HR best practice
  • Ongoing review of HR policies and procedures and communication of changes to the business as appropriate
  • Management of recruitment and selection lifecycle for assigned business units
  • Support hiring managers in workforce planning
  • Deliver HR updates, induction and policy related workshops to the organisation
  • Support managers in the performance management and the employee development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with L&D function in the design and/or delivery of learning interventions
  • Create partnerships within the HR function to deliver a value added and impactful service


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will hold a Level 8 Degree qualification in HR or a related discipline. You will hold a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a HR environment with at least 3 of these years in a HR Business Partner role. You will have experience of working with a large and diverse range of stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to manage high workload and conflicting priorities. You will have a strong track record in the delivery and implementation of significant HR programmes and proven experience in analytical and critical thinking with the ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and communicate proposed solutions concisely.
