Graduate Electrical Engineer required on Dublin-based projects for a leading MEP Contractor.

Your new company

One of Ireland's most reputable Mechanical & Electrical Contractors with multi‑million Data Centre projects in Dublin. Your new company is an industry leader in delivering high‑class engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, including Data Centres, Pharma, Industrial, Commercial and T&D.
They offer full mechanical and electrical contracting services as well as specialist high‑voltage (HV) and medium‑voltage (MV) design and construction services. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop within a company committed to nurturing talent and rewarding performance.

Your new role
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical system layouts for a range of projects
  • Support senior electrical engineers by preparing calculations, drawings, schedules, and technical documentation
  • Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to discussions on technical solutions
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of electrical systems and learn how they are applied across different project types
  • Attend project meetings with senior engineers to observe client interactions and understand project delivery processes
  • Assist in researching new and emerging technologies and preparing materials for internal or client presentations
  • Ensure project documentation is completed in line with company quality procedures
  • Support bid preparation activities by gathering technical information and assisting with proposal documentation

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Services Engineering from an accredited institution (equivalent qualifications in a similar field may also be considered)
  • Strong IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A genuine interest in electrical building services design and a desire to develop strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and codes (familiarity with BCO or similar guidelines is an advantage)
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and a willingness to think creatively
  • An understanding of the various stages of the design process, from concept through to detailed design (academic or placement experience acceptable)
  • A general awareness of other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, public health, and fire protection is desirable.
  • Previous internship, placement, or relevant project experience is beneficial but not essential.
