FP&A Accountant Job - Law Firm - Dublin CIty - Hybrid Working

Your new company is a renowned professional consultancy firm, boasting a corporate environment, strong career progression opportunities and offices across the globe. This organisation is based in Dublin city with hybrid working, 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.

Your new role
You will join the FP&A team of 5 people, reporting into the FP&A Manager and joining an overall wider finance team of 15 people. As a professional services organisation that is partner-led, you will be supporting various partners and business streams in the Irish market from an FP&A and business partnering standpoint providing real-time and value-add support. Your duties will include things like:
  • Preparing annual and quarterly forecasts and budgets, with a focus on challenging and influencing relevant stakeholders and budget holders
  • Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis, commentary and trends analysis
  • Prepare and present insights for Senior Management and Partners monthly, establishing an understanding of operational reporting, business performance and profitability as well as identifying key finance priorities
  • Prepare weekly ops reports on utilisation, billings, WIP and AR and discuss any key trends or concerns with partners
  • Business partner and build strong relationships with various departments and stakeholders to enable and influence commercial decision making
  • Provide ongoing support and training to relevant stakeholders on understanding the economic impact of matters and their impact on profitability.
  • Supporting the month end billing process, especially with any escalated issues and query resolution
  • Prepare annual business cases for promotions.
  • Introducing and enhancing commercial procedures to maintain and improve operational and financial performance
What you'll need to succeed
  • Full professional Chartered Accountant qualification is essential - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in an FP&A/Commercially focused role is essential, with a very strong preference for a professional services/partnership background
  • Experience with business partnering, budgeting and forecasting is a must
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment
  • You must be a confident communicator who can challenge and influence individuals
