Our client is a well known and reputable construction company that is based in Drogheda. They are major players in the industry and have an economic impact on jobs in Ireland. They strive towards sustainability, with two main plants in Ireland. They are recruiting a driven financial accountant to join their company on a 6-month fixed term basis with a strong possibility for extension.

They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented financial accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring tax compliance, and providing insights into volume and price movements. Additionally, the role involves participation in the bi-annual IFRS financial reporting process and various ad hoc projects.

You will need to be fully qualified with a few years post-qualification experience. As they are listed on the US stock exchange, you will need sox compliance experience. They are looking for someone to hit the ground running, so you must have good solid industry experience. Construction is a bonus but not fully necessary to the role. Strong communication is key for this position, along with interpersonal skills. You need to have strong financial accounting experience in terms of the preparation of management accounts, budget and forecasting. This is an immediate opportunity; you must be available to start at short notice.

As the Financial Accountant, you will be offered €65,000 depending on your experience. There is an excellent work/life balance on offer. You can work two days at home and three days in the office. The hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm and 22 annual leave days per calendar year. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a solid finance team where you can grow and learn. This is a 6-month contract, with a view to a long-term extension.
