Financial Accountant - Sandyford €70,000 DOE

The company has been around for circa 180 years, only been in Dublin for 13 years and the headquarters are in the US, and it’s a global organisation.

Your new role

This is a typical statutory accounting position with the relevant duties included such as:

  • Experience working with auditing and have strong exposure to audit processes and procedures, including project management of the statutory audit
  • Ensuring month end closes on GL accounts are done efficiently and accurately
  • Supporting the payroll process, so a good understanding of payroll is desired
  • Preparation of the statutory reporting accounts in time for reporting and sign off by the Financial Controller
  • Working closely with other intercompany departments such as AP, AR and treasury to manage the cash flow correctly
  • Ensuring full support to monthly management reporting
  • Responsibility for ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date at all times

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA) with +4 years PQE experience in Finance and Accounting within a multinational environment (UK/IE GAAP). Our client is looking for a candidate with strong analytical and technical ability in accounting. Ideally, you will have experience in creating IFRS financial statements and presenting to senior management. You will be personable and enjoy contributing to a close team environment. Having good systems skills will be a strong advantage and experience in Oracle would be ideal. Demonstration of excellent communication is vital for this role, coupled with having strong relationship building skills.
