Your new role

You will report directly to the Financial Controller in a 4 person team with the task of assisting with the financial accounting process, management accounting process and with the monitoring and implementation of accounting controls.

Working in a production facility with the aim of maximising returns & achieving the overall Site & Group objectives/targets.

You will prepare and and complete weekly management accounts which will include extensive interaction with all internal business units and manufacturing based analysis.
Provide insights into the operations of the business and communicate this to all required levels.

Duties:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements / audit files
• Ensure that the Finance team delivers a professional service to all stakeholders by demonstrating accounting and business knowledge, analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Site’s business environment, its structure, processes, information system, policies and procedures.
• Assist not only with Finance related matters but within operational reporting. Seek fresh ways to maximise the best use of the Group’s IT systems to make the control & reporting process as efficient as possible.
• Support the Financial Controller on projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA/ 2+ years experience in a financial / management accounting role.

• Advanced Excel.
• Analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
