Your new employer is one of the leading lights in indigenous Irish manufacturing success stories. Founded in the 1980's, the company has grown from strength to strength in recent times, growing to over €300m turnover and expanding its offices across the globe to Australia, UK, France and Germany to name but a few. They are involved in the manufacture of home safety products (smoke alarms, baby monitors, elderly monitors) and have also have a considerable presence in the R&D field in this industry. Everything is done on-site in Shannon including finance, HR, manufacturing and production, R&D, engineering, IT and lots more.
Your new role
The company's finance department is currently expanding and with that comes increased opportunities. This role has been borne out of growth and will support the Finance Manager on the financial reporting and analysis team. You will gain exposure across the finance spectrum including month-end management accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance, internal/external audit, cost controls, manufacturing accounting and financial accounting. There is tremendous career progression possible in this role as both the team and the company are growing rapidly.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant. The company are open to candidates from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, both newly qualified straight from practice or more experienced candidates with a deep level of industry experience. You will be highly ambitious with a strong work ethic that can work well on your own initiative but also as part of a team. Strong technical accounting knowledge is essential as well as great communication skills, both written and verbal.
