Your new role
As a key member of the finance team, you will oversee financial planning, management, and reporting for the site, lead a small team, act as deputy to the Finance Director, and champion operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives. Key areas of responsibilities:

Financial Operations
  • Report monthly financial performance (actual and rolling estimates) to management, ensuring all submission deadlines are met.
  • Complete all financial accounting for the plant in line with Corporate requirements, delivering accurate reporting of forecasts and actual results.
  • Conduct value-added analysis for major variances to plan and collaborate with budget owners to implement corrective measures.
  • Proactively identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities.
Annual Planning
  • Manage all Business Plan (BP) P&L and balance sheet processes and presentations, ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality analysis and commentary.
  • Coordinate timetables and communicate effectively with plant management, planning, and procurement teams.
  • Work with the Ballina management team to ensure key inputs are prepared and approved within CPS guidelines and timelines.
  • Prepare detailed analyses to support communication with Groups and Operating Units, including Region Standards follow-up.
Compliance & Controls
  • Support strong control and compliance processes and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Business Partnering
  • Manage financial aspects of non-concentrated business models and associated reporting routines.
  • Prepare detailed supply point shift analytics to determine optimal approaches for the Company.
  • Build strong, value-added relationships with internal plant stakeholders and OU Finance personnel.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinate Operational Excellence initiatives within Finance to implement process improvements and standardise processes across plants, leveraging AI and new technologies.
Project Support & Strategic Initiatives
  • Provide finance input for ad hoc projects and drive value-added initiatives in collaboration with other functions.
  • Support key strategic projects, including SAP upgrade implementation.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, supported by a professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, ACCA, or CPA. You will bring a minimum of five years’ experience within a medium to large-scale manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong expertise in financial operations and strategic planning. A deep understanding of SAP and integrated manufacturing systems is essential, along with a proven ability to build effective business partnerships and influence outcomes. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are required, as well as the capability to engage senior management and contribute to high-level decision-making. A track record of driving value-added initiatives and leveraging technology for process improvements will set you apart.
