Your new company
As an Event Manager, you will join an educational, regulatory, and representative body for working professionals in Ireland. Your new office is in Dublin City and is accessible via public transport. Your new company require you to join their team on a 12 month contract.

Your new role
As Event Manager, you will manage the central event function of the company and develop an annual events plan. You will be working with the Councils, Representation and Member Services, Policy, Education and other members to ensure that the events take place. You will be Involved in setting up events in conjunction with the departments and dealing appropriately with any unforeseen issues in a timely and courteous manner. You will be responsible for meeting and interacting professionally with guests, members, staff and media. As the events manager, you will be the central hub for events and hold the schedule of events for all of the company. You will be working in collaboration with the president’s office and the Director General’s office and the Senior Management Team to ensure the events are communicated appropriately and reporting as guided by Senior Management. Preparation and overseeing budgets for each event will be required while monitoring and analysing financial outcomes of events as part of post event analysis. You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement in event operational delivery and also maintaining a close working relationship with operational teams to ensure exceptional delivery of service. You will access the event’s overall success, providing feedback to client / Director of Representation and Member Services and the Director of Policy. You will liaise with key suppliers and contractors as the main point of contact. Building upon and maintaining client & third party supplier relationships. As Event Manager, you will have one Administrator reporting into the successful candidate (part time).

What you'll need to succeed
You will need 3 years of experience in successfully managing cross-functional projects. Experience in organising a wide range of professional events, is a plus, but not a necessity. Strong collaborator with ideas, energy, determination, and passion. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and exercise judgement in a fast moving environment. Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to write well and translate complex issues into simple language that people who are not experts can understand. Superb attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. You have super strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in fast-paced situations.
