Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Instrumentation technician to join our client, a leading M+E contractor based in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge and experience in design and engineering & have a proven track record in designing complex installation packages.

The Instrument Design Engineer will be responsible for the drafting, review and approval of the design deliverables on an industrial build along with a site installation support role.

• Prepare Instrument specifications & data sheets
• Prepare instrument cable schedule and termination detail drawings
• Prepare Installation Details and Hook Up Diagram
• Prepare Cause & Effect Chart, Control Narrative, and System I/O Database.
• Prepare DCS / ESD / F&S / SACS PAGA System specifications.
• Preparation of instrument design loop drawings.
• Survey of site instrument infrastructure for allocation for new projects.

• Hands-on experience of installation and advantage.
• 3rd level qualified in Instrumentation design or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience working in with instrumentation with at least 3 years’ experience in design.
• Highly skilled electrical and instrumentation with some knowledge of mechanical disciplines
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in CAD.
• Excellent computer skills.
