Digital Innovation Research Lead

Your new role

As the Digital Innovation Research Lead you will be responsible for developing new collaborative partnerships with internal and external functions to develop frameworks to explore, develop and test new capabilities and solutions. You will drive and support the enterprise focus areas of Smart Asset Management, Adaptive & Predictive Control, Track and Trace, Digital Worker, also including key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Vision Systems. You will participate in designated projects and programs within the overall systems and new technology readiness programs as appropriate, support concepts to transition from incubation to scale to deployment, ensure the needs of the Supply Chain are addressed and included as part of development and deployment process. You will lead the development and sustain collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances both internally and externally to drive value through innovation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
  • Strong experience in software development with C/C++ and Python is required.
  • 8+years of professional experience in Technology, Project Manager or R&D related roles.
  • Proven experience working on new technology development and the introduction introduction and new modalities.
  • Previous experience working within a support organization with a knowledge of functional and matrix areas is required.
  • Must have strong collaboration and influencing skills to partner effectively at all levels and across multiple groups.
  • Change management and project management skills, as well as business acumen and financial background are required.
  • Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures is required.
  • This position may require up to twenty five percent (25%) of domestic and international travel.
