One of Ireland's largest FMCG businesses with over 7000 employees and 220 stores across the island of Ireland your new company are looking to add a Deputy Logistics Manager to their team based in Mullingar
Your new role
In your new role you will be working in the logistics team specializing in either goods in, selections or transport. In which you will be dealing with all types of goods fresh, frozen and non food products. You will be reporting directly to the Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the management of employees in this area of the distribution centre. The regional distribution centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and requires staff to cover both day and night shifts.Your shift pattern will be 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays).
You will be leading a team in the goods in, selection or transport departments ensuring stock is received, stored, packed and transported according to the highest standards. You will be delivering a performance orientated and motivating working environment while conducting regular quality control and product rotation checks. Developing and managing of KPI's, participating in operational activities & leading by example. Engaging with multiple IT systems which support the logistics department, Coordination of training schedules for employees in order to ensure the best development possible. Creating, issuing & managing team work schedules and planning annual leave.

You will be able to be a strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise deadlines. You will have strong organisation and communication skills, Ability to be flexible and adaptable. Adept at managing people, controlling costs and demonstrating a hands-on approach to ensure success.
What you'll get in return
You will receive €46,494 rising to €59,286 within 4 years, €30 extra pay per night shift between 00.00 and 7.00
