Your new role
You will work with an expanding company in Cork City. This is a new position and forms part of the finance function, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. We are looking to hire a safe pair of hands to act as the company accountant. There is a junior accounts person on site for whom you will be responsible for directing workload.

Your new role

- Preparation of monthly financial reports & review of same.
- Responsible for the accounting operations of the company.
- Completion and posting of Journals.
- Completion of Bank Reconciliations.
- Demonstrate initiative in implementing relevant KPI’s to assist in the future growth plans of the company.
- Ensure that all Tax deadlines are met and that the company is fully compliant.
- Communicate routinely with the Senior Management Accountant on a variety of job-related topics.
- Assistance in the formation & implementation of company financial plans.
- Liaise with external auditors on annual close out procedures.
- Assist when required with Payroll
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, Chartered. 3 + years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid Debit and Credit experience.
- We are looking for a competent accountant that will fit well into a small finance team which operates very much as a team.
- SAGE experience would be an advantage.
