BIM Technician for a leading Consultancy in Dublin


Your new company
Your new company is a leader in the field of engineering consulting with extensive experience in multi-disciplinary services like civil, environmental, structural, roads and bridges, marine, energy, and conservation. You will be given the opportunity to work on some of the top projects in the nation and abroad.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be working as part of a team to design roads, waterways, and drainage systems for a variety of large-scale projects. Your job will be completed in line with the organization's ISO processes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a minimum of a level 8 degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering and a minimum of 2 years design experience in Ireland. Experience in Civils 3D package is preferred and you will need to know the engineering principles behind drainage, roads and water system design. You will also need:
  • Software skills: AutoCAD, Microdrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet, Causeway Flow and Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of Irish regulations and Policy issues
  • Experience in producing engineering documentation for large projects
  • Knowledge of the limitations of accepted best practice as specified by Standards and Codes, as well as the capacity to recognise and use acceptable scientific approaches to solve engineering problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding the entire project delivery process, including GCCC contracts
  • Understanding of project finances
