Vacancy for Civil Design PM with a well known Engineering Consultancy in Galway

Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading multi disciplinary Engineering Consultancy in the West of Ireland. This highly established consultancy covers areas such as Water Services, Energy & Environment and Civil & Structural Engineering. They currently have requirements for a Project Manager to join their expanding team in Galway.

Your new role
You will become a member of the Building & Infrastructure Team. Co-ordination and management of Design Teams as the Lead Project Manager. Where directed by the Operations Director, liaise and meet with Clients to ensure delivery of the appropriate reports, designs, and associated outputs. Review documents and designs prepared by Graduates, Design, and other Project Engineers and Overall design and project responsibility. Coordination and liaison with Regulatory Agencies. Procurement of Site Investigation, Civil Engineering Works including preparation of Specifications, Drawings, and Bills of Quantities. Assisting our Project Managers and Design teams in the preparation of tender documents and tender assessments. Coordinate the technical delivery of projects including liaison with relevant project staff to ensure the timely delivery of design deliverables within specified timeframes. Property inspections and preparation of detailed engineering reports. Preparing preliminary inspection plans and undertaking and managing BCAR inspection as required. Liaison with all relevant stakeholders in scoping the feasibility of new projects in terms of drainage, traffic, flooding, etc. Perform leadership activities, including mentorship and guidance of junior employees, showing them the path to increase their technical level. Assistance with Business Development activities including assisting with Tender bid submission and the coordination of same.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a level 8 degree in civil engineering or similar discipline. Previous experience working in a busy consultancy is essential. You will capable of demonstrating your design and leadership experience on previous projects. Good communication skills are essential. You will be proficient relevant software such as in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley and MicroStation.
