Civil Design Project Manager required for a leading consultancy in Dublin. €55,000-€69,000

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy with multiple offices across Ireland. This highly established consultancy covers areas such as Water Services, Energy & Environment and Civil & Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will join a strong team of professionals who cover a broad range of civil engineering and water service projects for public sector clients.
Your new role
- To guarantee that design specifications, project timetables, and project budgets are met, civil engineering and building projects undergo project management and contract administration.
- Organizing and leading design teams in your capacity as lead project manager.
- Liaise and meet with clients as needed, as directed by the operations director, to ensure supply of the right designs, outputs, and reports.
- Examine the designs and papers created by graduates, designers, and more project engineers, and responsibility for the project's overall design.
- Liaison with regulatory agencies and coordination the creation of specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities for the purchase of site investigation and civil engineering work
- Helping our design teams and project managers with the creation of bid documents and evaluations of bids
- Organize the technical delivery of projects, communicating with the appropriate project staff, and employees to ensure that design deliverables are delivered on schedule and within the allotted time frames
- Inspections of real estate and creation of thorough engineering reports
- Creating plans for preliminary inspections, conducting, and supervising BCAR inspections as necessary.
- Coordination with all pertinent parties to assess the viability of new projects in terms of flooding, traffic, drainage, etc.
- Engage in leadership actions, such as guiding and mentoring junior staff members to help them advance their technical level.
- Assistance with business development tasks, such as assisting with tender bid coordination and submission.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of expertise designing civil and construction infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, sports, educational, and pharmaceutical projects.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, presenting, investigative, and communication abilities with the capacity to interact with a wide range of people at all organisational levels.
- It is advantageous to have prior experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
- Excellent IT abilities (MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D), including working knowledge of MS Project and other software programmes.
- Understanding of many contract types, including the GCCC or PWMF kinds of contract.
