Your new role

They are seeking a Category Buyer for a fixed-term contract within their group team, specifically focusing on white-collar industries (marketing, human resources, tech etc). This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of commercial activities, including conducting tenders, managing contracts, and supporting category strategies. You will develop close working relationships with internal customers and play a key role in supplier relationship management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in procurement, contract management, or a commercial role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve best value.
  • High motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience managing high-value and/or complex tenders.
  • Familiarity with regulated procurement areas.
  • Knowledge of SAP FMIS and SRM systems.
  • Willingness to undertake a qualification in Procurement if required.
