Business Continuity Analyst, 6 month contract, 56,000 per year

The Role:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Business Continuity Analyst to join their Change and Continuous Improvement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining business continuity plans, ensuring they are regularly tested and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Cyber Security Programme to advance cyber–Business Continuity response plans for critical processes.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber BC workstream lead to implement audit recommendations and other program deliverables.
  • Plan and execute an annual Business Continuity exercise program that covers a range of potential events, including severe weather, loss of premises, cyber-attacks, and energy supply security.
  • Facilitate the ongoing review and development of business continuity plans across the organization, liaising with relevant departments and business functions.
  • Train and support the organization with respect to Business Continuity requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Continuity System experts across the organization, including department/unit coordinators.
  • Ensure individual areas have maintained and tested Business Continuity Plans (BCPs). - Perform other related duties as required.

Role Requirements:

  • A relevant third-level qualification and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated across different layers of an organization.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and to influence decision-making and initiative ownership.
  • Demonstrated management skills including people management, proactive development, motivation, and engagement.
  • Strong ability to manage competing demands and stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and solving problems of procedural, organizational, administrative, or technical nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
