Accounts Receivable Administrator

Accounts Receivable Administrator required for an initial 6 month contract. Hybrid working offered.
Your new company
A large Public Sector organisation based in Cork City.

Your new role
Issuing, processing, and managing all invoices issued within the organisation from a central location, such as third-party contributions.
Issuing, processing, and managing all large new connections invoices issued
Issuing, processing, and managing all Section 16 invoices issued
Recording of all payments received in an accurate and timely manner
Monitoring of bank accounts for receipts and follow-up of any unidentified receipts
Answering any accounts receivable queries received and providing high levels of customer service at all times. Managing and tracking all such queries, escalating as required to the business and closing these queries on a timely basis
Ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures from a compliance point of view
Ensuring timely collection of outstanding debtor balances and managing balance outstanding in an effective and efficient manner
Reporting on balances to Reconciliations Manager and others, as required
Preparing detailed AR Bank Reconciliations to assist the Bank Reconciliations team
Liaising with contact center as required in relation to Section 16 invoices / payments and following up on outstanding applications in a timely manner

What you'll need to succeed
Two years’ work experience in a similar position
Third-level qualification in a relevant field (eg, Finance, Business, Accounting)
Experience of working within a Business Services Environment is desirable
Experience of operating in a utility company or in a regulated industry would be an advantage
Strong organisational and analytical capabilities with attention to detail, high levels of integrity, and professionalism always, with a proven ability to multi-task
Oracle R12 / other ERP system experience required
