Recruiting for a Payroll and Accounts Administrator to join a Galway based Finance team. The appointee will work closely with the Finance Manager and be responsible for the Payroll function of the group.

The role is varied in job content and the successful candidate will have learning opportunities across many sides of the Payroll and Accounts functions. The ideal candidate will have experience processing weekly payroll from multiple sites as well as processing monthly salaries.

Day to Day responsibilities

• Ownership of the payroll function from processing of weekly and monthly payroll, as well as ROS returns and any interactions with Department of Social Protection.
• Dealing with starters and leavers as well as any queries employees may have.
• Weekly and monthly reconciliations.
• Processing AP invoices for multiple companies.
• Working with Financial Controller on month end accounts and year end audit.
• During the summer months, the successful candidate will work closely with the operations team to assist at regular events.
• This will include travel to locations in Ballinrobe, Roscommon and Galway City between the months of April and October.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience being responsible for payroll for 75+ weekly employees.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency in the use of Thesaurus and Sage Pay.

• Up to date knowledge of Irish payroll and legislation
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
• A very high level of attention to detail/accuracy, ideally gained in an accounts setting or similar
• Clear communication skills with a very good level of spoken (telephone & face to face) and written English.
