What you'll need to succeed
This position may suit an individual who has an Accounting Technician background in addition to good administration/secretarial experience.
Experience in budgeting and cashflow, generating reports and projections.
Experience in preparing financial statements and familiar with year-end procedure as well as preparing accounts for audit
Experience in financial record keeping, financial reporting and using computerised accounts software and systems
Experience of computerised and manual payroll systems e.g. SURF. IPASS qualification is desirable.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Office management experience, organisational and secretarial skills

Your new role
Finance / Accounts / Compliance
- Work within the guidelines of financial controls set out by the Board of Trustees, maintaining accurate and timely accounts including
- Prepare quarterly and annual accounts
- Maintain all aspects of the payroll and expenses system ensuring compliance with Revenue updates and guidelines, and including pension processing.
- Generate and pay invoices in accordance with the terms of payment agreed.
- Maintain appropriate banking records, reconciling monthly bank and An Post statements
- Attend finance meetings, take minutes and contribute as appropriate
- Prepare and monitor budgets and projections with the Coordinator and Finance Sub-Committee
- Prepare financial reports as directed by the Project Coordinator
- Compile quarterly financial returns for funders, as required.
- Support the Board of Trustees and the Coordinator and work with the Accountant and Auditor, as required, to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Administration
- Attend meetings and take minutes as required.
- General secretarial duties as directed by the Project Coordinator.
- Maintain appropriate and accessible records, reports and files.
- Diary management.
- Comply with GDPR requirements
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Risk Management Policy and Procedures
