A RAPIDLY EVOLVING

JOBS MARKET

Hays Ireland is delighted to introduce The State of Resourcing, Ireland report.

The State of Resourcing, Ireland 2015 provides HR professionals with an in-depth understanding of how Irish companies prioritise the key factors impacting recruitment. It then benchmarks their capabilities against these factors. The delta between importance and capability provides insight into the strategic shift required to compete in the new market.

The foundation of this report is the in-depth and wide-ranging data provided by the HR directors of 152 of Ireland’s leading organisations. Seven key areas were examined – Prediction & Planning, Talent Acquisition, Market Reputation, Assessment Methodology, On-boarding of employees, Metrics & Measurement and Enabling Technology.

SoR Graph All Ireland

Of the seven key areas to attracting the best candidates, managing the company’s reputation was considered the most important by HR Directors, with 90% citing it as important or very important.

However, the study also identifies a number of shortfalls in this area. Companies were found, unsurprisingly, to invest heavily in their market brand but to neglect their candidate experience for potential employees seeking to join the company. Despite 83% of employers citing candidate experience as important or very important, only 20% of those questioned believed their company ‘very good’ at it.
