Our client an Asset recovery bank is seeking a corporate level assistant manager for a 7/8 month contract but you will be eligible to apply for any internal roles that are advertised within this timeframe. 

You will be responsible for supporting the Manager/Senior Manager to ensure the effective operation of the team on a day to day basis, with the ultimate aim of maximising recovery of the assigned portfolio in accordance with NAMA guidelines. You will be in charge of co-ordinating the development of the team’s credit papers prior to review and sign off by the team Manager, provide coaching and support to junior colleagues and oversee the effective completion of the team’s administrative activities. Your main responsibilities include; 

Responsible for completion of all NAMA Due Diligence reports/templates.
Assist the team Manager to manage the assigned loan portfolio, ensuring that the team operates in line with NAMA guidelines to deliver agreed goals.
Develop credit papers which require minimal input from the Manager prior to presentation at Credit Committee.Conduct due diligence on the loan portfolio and put forward best alternatives for maximum loan recover.
Attend client meetings as required and act as the day to day point of contact for queries from clients, financial advisors and the Bank’s professional advisors.
Ensure the administration of the loan portfolio is carried out to the highest standards, including preparing client, legal and drawdown documentation, managing client files and inputting information onto the relevant systems.
Co-ordinate all regular management information and ad hoc report requests for the team.
Provide mentoring support to other team members to both promote staff development and maximise team performance.Attend and contribute as a member of the internal credit forums /  NAMA Credit Committee as required. 
Deputise for team Manager as required. 

Previous experience of supporting the management of a portfolio that predominantly consists of land and development loans.
An understanding of local tax, legal and accounting regulations which govern the land and development sectors.
Demonstrated ability to write and present land and development credit applications and complete associated loan documentation obtaining minimal technical guidance as required.
Experience of working on cases involved in the insolvency process incorporating liquidation, receivership and examinership experience would be a distinct advantage.
Experience of accompanying team Manager to negotiation meetings with clients.
