Our Client’s Category Team is renowned for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to organisation-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.
Your new role
As a Procurement Manager on an initial 6-month assignment, you will be responsible for pioneering innovative category and sourcing strategies, cultivating strategic supplier relationships, and optimising spend categories through data-driven insights. You will support the development and execution of category strategies aligned with organisational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories. You will also lead strategic projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation within the category.
What you'll need to succeed
- The ability to analyse spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities within the category.
- Experience in conducting market analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing supplier relationships to achieve category goals.
- Proficiency in analysing procurement data, generating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
- Experience in leading strategic projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation within the category.
- The ability to partner with contracting teams and cross-functional partners to draft, review, and manage contracts within the category, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
