Your new company

A large and well known group that operates in the Aviation Industry. The client looks after a large fleet of aircraft in the area and also has a portfolio of property and a manufacturing section. The organisation is growing and the opportunity for progression for the successful candidate will be ample. The group are seeking to hire a talented purchasing procurement specialist who will add value to the teams management of the purchasing function

Your new role

The Procurement Co-Ordinator will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, purchase order management, maintenance of accurate supplier records and contributing to the overall procurement effectiveness.
The position will report to the Group Procurement Manager. This role will offer an opportunity for career progression and development.

Key duties:
  • Endeavour to deliver value for money in the sourcing process while maintaining compliance
  • Full management of the processing of purchase orders using in-house oracle ERP system
  • Prioritising sustainable procurement across the Group
  • Maintain and update the procurement database
  • Knowledge of and care for the procurement policies and procedures
  • Work with the Group Procurement team to continue to improve the procurement function and to standardise documentation
  • Work closely with the Finance teams to ensure that all financial requirements in supplier selection are accurate and up to date.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Oracle ERP system experience

  • Minimum FETAC Level 6 qualification

  • Purchasing/Procurement experience is required. Airport public sector purchasing is highly advantageous

  • Ability to recognise and escalate risks appropriately

  • Analytical skills, high level of attention to detail

  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
