Comms Lead - Contract - Dublin/Hybrid

Who will you be working for?

You will be working for one of Ireland's largest banks, who are based in Dublin. They provide a full range of personal, business and corporate banking services. In recent years, their business has been restructured with the aim of becoming a customer-focused, profitable and lower risk institution, well positioned to support economic recovery in Ireland while seeking to generate sustainable shareholder returns. Working as a Comms Lead, you will be immersed in the technological and progressive culture that exists in the company.

What will you be working on?

You will be working within the regulatory change portfolio, specifically on the Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA), which is an EU initiative that sets uniform requirements for the security of network and information systems of companies and organisations operating in the financial sector as well as critical third parties which provide ICT (Information Communication Technologies)-related services to them, such as cloud platforms or data analytics services. DORA creates a regulatory framework on digital operational resilience whereby all firms need to make sure they can withstand, respond to and recover from all types of ICT-related disruptions and threats. These requirements are homogenous across all EU member states. The core aim is to prevent and mitigate cyber threats. Working as a Communications Lead, you will be responsible for the overall programme communications plan, managing board and subsidiary approval pathways, overall training plans including lunch and learns, including senior management and board training. Additionally, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of communications and engagement across the programme works streams.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in a Communications Lead position, ideally in the financial services/ banking sector. You will have an in-depth knowledge of PR channels, such as newspapers, TV networks, social media, along with the ability to create engaging emails, social posts and blogs. You will have a brand-centric mindset, along with excellent business and marketing acumen. You will be a strong communicator, with expertise at delivering presentations and training to all levels of staff up to executive and senior level management. Furthermore, you will have experience working on long-term strategies as part of a successful communications campaign.
