Your new company

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong mechanical or pipework background to support a major 70MW data centre development.

Your new role
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the data centre or pharmaceutical sector and be highly competent in reviewing and developing BOQs, cost plans and tender documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and process pipework packages, based on drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Analyse tender information, identify scope gaps, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accurate pricing.
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and evaluate commercial/technical compliance.
• Support bid submissions, cost breakdowns and value‑engineering proposals.
• Maintain cost databases, benchmark data and project estimate files to support forecasting and project controls.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong estimating experience within data centre, pharmaceutical or similar high‑tech environments.

• Background in mechanical systems, HVAC, pipework or process utilities.

• Proficient working with BOQs, P&IDs, drawings and technical documentation.

• Excellent numerical ability, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
