Actuarial Modelling: Job Details

 
The role will cover all aspects of financial modelling: risk, hedging, derivatives, stochastic modelling, economic scenario generation, market-consistent reporting on Solvency II. The jobholder will join the expanding Actuarial Development team in Dublin, working closely with both the Actuarial Reporting team and the VA Risk Manager.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
§         Develop stochastic modelling tools and underlying programs to enhance reporting and risk management capabilities
§         Develop reporting systems and processes to facilitate market consistent embedded value and Solvency II reporting requirements and enhance control environment
§         Prophet product development: update VA and other financial models for new products and reporting requirements as well as ongoing business planning, solvency and risk appetite work
§         Assist in managing the risks inherent in the variable annuity products, developing current processes and investigations into management tools and techniques
Automate existing reporting processes to improve speed-to-market and increase frequency of reporting

Requirements
§         Part-Qualified Actuary
§         PROPHET or similar software experience, particularly stochastic modelling
§         Skilled user of Visual Basic, Excel, Access, Word
§         Programming experience an advantage
§         Team working / Interaction with others: strong team player with ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
